In 2015, Pastor Jonathan asked George and Wendy Kamimura to consider heading up two new ministries for children and youth, Trail Life USA for boys and American Heritage Girls. They started with 4 girls and 4 boys and have grown to 70 participants! (including 2 of the original girls and 2 of the original boys)

American Heritage Girls & Trail Life USA are Christ-centered character, leadership, and adventure organizations for girls and boys (K-12), serving 60,000+ members in all 50 states.  Both share a passion for creating safe & active opportunities to equip the next generation for Christian service.

Trail Life USA is a Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade are engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.

American Heritage Girls is a forward-focused program emphasizing six key components to achieve the mission of building women of integrity, known as the AHG Program Emphases. These include programming, experiences, and resources for every age level. Girls who complete the program will be Christ-following servant leaders who are honoring, relational, anchored in Christ, and competent.

The vision of the Hawaii chapter here at KUC’s is to enable our girls to grow more Christ-like with these 3-G’s:

• Give them opportunities for new experiences and adventures
• Grow in leadership and decision-making
• Go with ALOHA to joyfully serve those around them
