April was a whirlwind of excitement at our preschool! The entire school had a unique opportunity to visit the Hawaii Children’s Museum in Kakaako, a place of hands-on learning. Our students had a blast exploring and discovering new things there. We also had productive parent/teacher conferences, where we shared the progress and improvements of our students with their parents. We were fortunate to have Evy (Kilohana’s mom) from Malama Learning Center visit us. She taught us about Hawaiian plants; we even got to plant a Ma’o (Hawaiian cotton). In our lessons this month, we focused on the two Miracles of Jesus, the healing of Blind Bartimaeus, and the healing of the Ten Lepers. We also delved into the Bible Stories of the Lost Lamb and the Prodigal Son.
May was the last month of the school year! Times has flown by! At the beginning of the month, we celebrated Mother’s Day with a special brunch and sang a meaningful song about how much mom does for us. We had a fun spirit week where we dressed up for Retro Tuesday! We said MAHALO to Ms. Cheryl as she retired from KUC after teaching in the preschool for 22 years. We welcomed Michelle, Precious, and Laura to the preschool team! We all went to Tropics Mini Golf for Team Building and had a fun staff day out!
21 students graduated from our program this past school year with Jesus planted in their hearts and a great start to their educational careers.
We are excited about our upcoming Summer STEAM series! This will be a fantastic opportunity for our children to engage in fun and educational activities involving science, technology, engineering, art, and math. It’s going to be a summer full of learning and fun at our preschool!
