The students are starting to get acclimated to all our routines and class schedules.
We started the month by joining Joy Fellowship and celebrating Grandparents’ Day together, playing Back to School bingo & a luncheon! It was a nice blessing to have substitute grandparents for children who didn’t have grandparents living here or were working. We had our first Kona ice day, and it was so refreshing after our PE time!
This month in chapel, we learned about Hannah, Samuel, David, and Goliath. We learned that God hears and answers every prayer and that with faith we are victorious!
This month in preschool was filled with fun activities and events! We learned about our shapes and colors and came to understand that God made each of us special.
On Wednesdays, the elementary school classes have PE together. This month, they focused on balance and coordination. The students are also strengthening their reading skills by reading sight word mini books. They are also getting quick at adding two single digits.
We ended the month with a fun fundraiser at Chuck E. Cheese! Chuck E. even stopped by the school that morning to surprise the children. It was really nice having all our families hanging out together! We had some friends stop by the school to get us excited about the holiday season in our launch for the Habitat Fundraiser, where families can purchase a Christmas tree or wreath to support our school.
We are looking forward to another night of learning and fun at Kalihi Christian School!
