When the school year ended, we said goodbye to old friends and welcomed new friends to our classrooms for the summer session. We had 26 from our Junior Kindergarten program graduate with Jesus planted in their hearts & ready for Kindergarten!
The theme for June was water and the story of Noah. We have learned many things with this theme including:
• We learned Noah obeyed God, built an ark, and cared for many animals with his family.
• Water is important to the Noah’s Ark story.
• Water can be used to keep us healthy.
• We also learned how to wash our hands properly to protect us from germs.
There are many forms of water to explore with our senses. During water play Fridays, we have fun with using cups and shovels to play with water in our water tables. We love jumping through the sprinklers and playing water games.
The July summer session has been a fun month of exploring in preschool. We learned to share love because God loves us. Our Bible story for this month focuses’ on Jesus healing a group of people and how one man shows kindness by saying thank you. Each day, we practice saying thank you to our friends, family, and teachers. The Jr Kindergarteners are learning the routine so that they can help & teach the new students coming in the Fall. The Kindergarteners continued learning & prepping for their new adventure in elementary school.
We are so thankful for our new playground! We love playing on our new structure and the water pad on water play Fridays.
We look forward to the new school year!
