It’s officially summer in preschool! We welcomed new and returning students to our seven-week Summer Fun program. Our curriculum is based on STEAM: science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Many students are familiar with STEAM due to our STEAM after-school care program! Our theme for this summer is Noah’s Ark. We have done science experiments and weather projects and even made a s’mores oven, used the sun to melt everything together & enjoyed the treat! 😋! Working as a “team,” they built an Ark using blocks and magnets. They also worked together to design their rendition of an “Ark Collage.”
We also had our Father’s Day celebration! The students and their dads had a yummy breakfast and made birdhouses. It was awesome to see the children’s faces light up while doing the activity with their dads!
We ended June with a school-wide field trip to Kualoa Ranch, where we saw, petted, and fed the animals! June was filled with new friends and activities, and we look forward to ending summer with a BANG!
