Megan Junge serves as the Children’s Ministry Director. She delights to see children encounter God, and grow in their relationship with Him. Her passion is to use her spiritual gifts to create a Spirit-filled environment which creatively equips leaders and children to serve and minister in power as wholehearted lovers and followers of Jesus Christ. She focuses on all aspects of the Children’s Program up through the 5th grade regarding their learning and care environments, community outreach, programs and facilities.
Trusting in Christ as a young child, Megan grew up in a missionary home of cross-cultural settings across the U.S., Europe and West Africa, and finds joy and fulfillment in global and local missions. These environments provided a rich culture of serving in a great variety of roles with youth, families and children.
Megan received her BA degree in Elementary Education, and her Masters in Educational Leadership at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. Moving to Hawaii in 2012, she taught for three years at Hanalani Schools in Mililani. Following several years of teaching and adult training, Megan was called to minister with children and their families at Kalihi Union in February, 2017.
She finds joy spending time with her parents and three siblings. Being a kinesthetic learner, Megan also enjoys the fine arts, new experiences, water sports, hiking and travel.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
