Breaking Free 101

01.14.2024 | 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 | Pastor Bill Jones

“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have power to demolish strongholds.” – 2 Corinthians 10:4

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said “I’ll tell you, I’ve seen the lightning flash. I’ve heard the thunder roll. I felt sin-breakers dashing, trying to conquer my soul. But I heard the voice of Jesus saying still to fight on.” On the eve of the day we commemorate his life, this quote from Dr. King reminds us of what the Apostle Paul said in today’s passage about our true battle. Pastor Jonathan preaches today’s message called “The Right Fight” connecting to our Breaking Free 101 mini-series with visiting Pastor Bill Jones. The passage is 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 with various connecting cross-references.

Breaking Free 101

01.21.2024 | Pastor Bill Jones

“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.” – Ephesians 4:31

What are some of your earliest memories? If you think through, it probably won’t take long for you to find one where someone hurt you, whether purposefully or unintentionally. Regardless of how it happened or when it happened, we all carry hurts from others. Within those painful moments, or even painful years, we have a choice: Bitterness or Forgiveness. Guest Pastor Bill Jones who has been leading us in our Breaking Free 101 course preaches today’s message called “Bitterness vs. Forgiveness” in our continuing Breaking Free mini-series. The key passages are Ephesians 4, 2 Corinthians 2, and Matthew 18 with various connecting cross-references.

He has transferred us into His Kingdom. Today we learn how to maintain and walk in this glorious freedom that He has given us. Sometimes the storm is too big; but God will come looking for you.

02.04.2024 | Genesis 1 | Pastor Clive

What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.” – Matthew 18:12-14

“Sometimes the storm is too big; but God will come looking for you.” This is the heartbeat of Pastor Clive Cowell’s message today. In Genesis 1, we see God creating the heavens and earth but it was formless and void. Then, He speaks and all creation comes into being. He wants to encourage us that God’s voice in our lives is to bring His love into the storm.

Soar Above the Roar in 2024!

02.11.2024 | Daniel 6 | Pastor George Nagato

“I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. ‘For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end. He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.” – Daniel 6:26-27

What can the people of God do in the face of other ‘gods’ rising against the true and living God? What happens when standing up for the true and living God puts us in the path of a pack of hungry lions? The false gods we face and the kind of lions may have changed, but being truthful in a world of lies always comes with the pressure to compromise and the temptation to give up. But today, speaks to us from the life of Daniel.
